Labour Relations Advisor Position in Telecommunications

Telecon is seeking an experienced Labour Relations Advisor
The Labour Relations Advisor will play a strategic role, leading complex mandates in labour relations management. This includes the application, interpretation, and negotiation of collective agreements.
You will work closely with members of the organization and the Talent and Culture team on all matters related to labour relations. Your expertise will be sought after by managers and human resources stakeholders for advice on labour relations strategies.
This position may be based from our offices in Ottawa, Montreal (Anjou) or Toronto (Vaughan). The successful candidate will report to the Sr. Manager, Talent and Culture. Occasional travel to our various sites in Quebec and Ontario will be required and bilingual in French/English is an asset.
Responsibilities:- Negotiation and Representation: Act as lead and spokesperson for the renewal of collective agreements. Recommend a negotiation mandate based on the needs of the business and participate in the development of negotiation strategies.
- Liaison and Support: Provide advisory support to Talent and Culture Business Partners and Managers on complex cases requiring labour relations and/or employee relations expertise.
- Investigations and Analysis: Participate and lead confidential employee investigations. Compile and analyze data related to labour relations issues and advise on trends across the organization.
- Representation and Liaison: Act as negotiator and official representative of Telecon during grievance committees, specialized tribunals (in collaboration with the legal department and HR business partners) or any other body in the presence of union representatives.
- Educational Background: University degree in industrial relations, law (labour and employment law profile), human resources management or any other field deemed relevant.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience as an expert labour relations advisor as well as experience as a spokesperson in the context of the renewal of collective agreements.
- Knowledge and Skills: Good knowledge of the laws and different jurisprudential trends that govern labour relations in Quebec and Ontario. Experience in construction or telecommunications industry is an asset.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
