About the Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Support Worker to join our team at Rideaucrest Home. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional support and care to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and overall well-being.

Job Summary

This is a part-time position that involves working under the supervision of registered staff to assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal times. You will also be responsible for observing residents, reporting incidents, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily living activities
  • Monitor and report any changes in resident condition or incidents
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established protocols
  • Work collaboratively with other care team members to ensure optimal resident care

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Grade 12 diploma or equivalent education
  • Successful completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker Program
  • One year of customer service experience, preferably in a long-term care setting
  • First Aid/CPR Certificate and Palliative Care training an asset

Salary Range

$23.00 - $28.00 per hour (based on 2023 rates of pay)
