About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tax Planning and Compliance Manager to join our KPMG Canada team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Canadian and US tax compliance and advisory, with a focus on cross-border tax planning for high net worth individuals and families.

Key Responsibilities

As a Tax Planning and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for leading tax planning initiatives and compliance projects, working closely with clients to understand their complex tax needs and developing tailored solutions to meet their objectives. Your strong organizational skills will enable you to direct the work of staff, review their work for accuracy and completeness, and develop relationships with clients to provide ongoing support and guidance.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in tax planning and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in dealing with complex cross-border Canada and US personal tax compliance and advisory, including gift and estate planning for high net worth individuals and shareholders. You will have a strong ability to lead private client engagements, interact effectively with clients, and provide persuasive and self-assured responses to challenging questions.
