Job Title: Superintendent (General Contracting)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our General Contracting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule projects, including detailed look-ahead schedules.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all workers, adhering to our Health and Safety Policy and Procedures, as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Manage general conditions for projects in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Lead, plan, organize, and implement all aspects of the project on site, working closely with the Project Manager.
  • Maintain daily site superintendent logs and hazard analysis/workplans through Site Docs.
  • Meet with owners and consulting teams in a professional manner, communicating effectively on behalf of the company.
  • Lead subtrade meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support team development and progression.
  • Implement an active quality control program to ensure compliance with our GC Standards.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals and maintain corporate interests.
  • Participate in business development with internal team members to grow the General Contracting division.
  • Manage, mentor, and train internal staff.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects in the ICI or Condo/Apartment Building industry.
  • Site Superintendent training is considered an asset.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge and understanding of CCDC Contracts and Construction Law.
  • Passion for interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership development.
  • Impeccable integrity.
  • Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
  • Strength in analysis and creative problem-solving.
  • Experience with COR (Certificate of Recognition) is considered an asset.
