You will join a dynamic and collegial team of legal professionals in the Legal Department at The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada). As a Senior Counsel, Asset Management, you will be involved in a wide range of activities working to advance strategic priorities while ensuring proper risk management. About You:
  • A seasoned attorney with 7+ years of experience in securities law, preferably in a top law firm and/or in-house position.
  • Proven track record of advising on fund offerings and investment management activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple partners and stakeholders.
  • Superior communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior members of TD Bank's management team.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities without sacrificing focus and attention to detail.

About the Role:

This position will provide strategic and practical legal advice to advance the objectives and strategies of the TD Wealth businesses, which includes TD Asset Management Inc. (TDAM). You will be primarily dedicated to supporting the TDAM business, advising on the launch and distribution of private pooled and alternative funds, providing legal support to TDAM's real estate, infrastructure, and private credit investment teams, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements and documentation, and more. The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $200,000-$250,000 CAD.
