Overview

The Northeast Community Health Centre (NECHC) Emergency Department is a fast-paced and supportive work environment that feels like family. Located in the Edmonton Zone, our team serves a diverse community with a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and multicultural perspectives.

We are a multidisciplinary team of Trauma trained Physicians, NPs, RNs, LPNs, Ortho Techs, and Resp Therapists, supported by Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging, Protective Services, and various ambulatory and community health programs on site.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an Emergency Department RN. The successful candidate will administer safe and effective nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing care standards while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

About the Role

  • Provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations.
  • Ensure patient safety and well-being through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families.
  • Serve as a leader in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
  • Minimum 3 years recent acute care experience.
  • Minimum 2 years recent ER experience.
  • Triage (Recent CTAS Training) nurse and/or Charge nurse experience.
  • Connect Care Training.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI).

Salary and Benefits
