Job Title:

Sr. DevOps Engineer to implement CI/CD pipelines and Terraform infrastructure as code for a major insurance client.

Key Responsibilities:

With minimal supervision, propose guidelines and execute platform development activities by developing automation to enable software development and deployment through CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and configuration as code.

Assist in performing root cause analysis, interpreting results, and suggesting solutions; provide input into action plans, such as prioritizing offensive/customer-facing issues and defensive/internally focused backlogs.

Analyze requirements and develop plans to implement solutions in conjunction with product management and architects.

Assist in the discovery phase of medium to large initiatives to develop high-level designs; assist in obtaining cross-job function approvals.

Ensure conformity between deployment environments.

Independently handle and provide additional support in solving software/systems monitoring issues and escalations requiring moderate technical expertise to troubleshoot.

Complete medium to high configuration activities such as alerts, dashboards, etc.

Independently automate deployments for solutions as code.

Requirements:
  1. 7+ years of experience as a Sr. DevOps Engineer developing CI/CD pipelines.
  2. 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud (EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Security).
  3. 5+ years of experience with Terraform IaC (Infrastructure as Code), Ansible Tower.
  4. Craft CMS (installation, configuration, administration).
  5. MySQL Database.
  6. Docker Desktop.
  7. Web Server Technologies/Web Development (HTML, CSS, some JavaScript).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Certification.
  • Previous insurance/financial experience.
About the Role:

This is a 6-month contract-to-hire/conversion to FT opportunity.

Hybrid work arrangement, 2x per week in Toronto/Mississauga.
