At Chatime, we are seeking a highly skilled Director of Culinary Operations to lead our team in delivering exceptional food services. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits package.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in culinary operations management. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role and a proven track record of success in managing teams, planning daily operations, and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Plan and organize daily food service operations, including setting staff work schedules, training staff, and determining the type of services to be offered.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality food services.
  • Negotiations: Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that food services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees

As a Director of Culinary Operations, you will play a key role in supporting newcomers and refugees who join our team. This may include assisting with their immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, and storage, as well as providing support for their social and labour market integration.

Support for Indigenous People

We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive work environment for all employees, including Indigenous people. As a Director of Culinary Operations, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with indigenous communities, providing cultural competency training to all employees, and offering mentorship and coaching opportunities for Indigenous workers.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as hospitality or business administration.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and planning daily operations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
