Apex Systems, a global IT services provider, is seeking a skilled Application Support Specialist to join our team. This exciting opportunity will have you working with a Big Five Bank, providing top-notch support and contributing to the effective operation of their hardware, software, network, and application resources.

About the Role

This role requires proficiency in tools like Dynatrace, Service Now, and Event Management. You will be responsible for initiating service restoration activities, handling production issues, and performing regularly scheduled maintenance on the bank's OS Mainframe Logical Partitions IBM.

We are looking for a talented individual with 2 years of work experience in an IT or business environment, and/or a B.S./B.A. in computer science, engineering, information systems, math, or business.

  • Understanding of Information Technology operating processes used for systems to ensure effective delivery.
  • Knowledge of support and operations practice, concepts, and technology obtained through formal training and/or work experience.
  • Technical and/or business functional knowledge of systems, tools, timing, and dependencies.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
  • Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth.
  • Influence skills - In-depth.

A strong candidate will also possess specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. The estimated salary range is based on the location of Barrie or Scarborough, Ontario, and the requirements of the role.
