About the Role

Imperva, a leading company in the field of data security, is seeking an experienced Sr. Director of Engineering to lead product development for our Data Security product as well as the site in Vancouver, Canada.

Job Summary

This is a hybrid position in Vancouver, BC Canada that requires strong leadership and technical skills to drive the success of our cutting-edge products.

About You

We are looking for a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in software development and a deep understanding of cloud environments, web applications, databases, networking, application/network/data, ML/AI, security, and SaaS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the product development teams in Vancouver consisting of highly professional engineers and provide high-level guidance and support to promote an innovative and challenging work environment.
  • Work to scope and plan key deliverables with business stakeholders and development teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Optimize the organizational structure for fast and reliable deliveries and create a collaborative culture and environment between the Vancouver office and other global offices of Imperva.
  • Own the technical output of the Sonar team and implement processes to ensure high technical standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Success in an agile environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development.
  • Deep domain knowledge and hands-on capabilities in at least one of the following areas: cloud environments, web applications, databases, networking, application/network/data, ML/AI, security, SaaS.
  • Experience in developing cloud-native solutions and good understanding of public cloud services.
  • Excellent leadership, collaborative management practices, communication, and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Foster team culture and practice mentorship and collaboration.
About Our Offer

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is CAD$232,000 – $290,000. The salary offered will be determined based on the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and location.
