Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at The Bankhead Restaurant and Lounge. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain inventory and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment to inform inventory and ordering decisions.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a head cook or executive chef in a high-volume restaurant or kitchen.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and train staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and inventory.

The Bankhead Restaurant and Lounge is a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires strong leadership and communication skills. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading a team of cooks and kitchen staff to prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes. You will work closely with our culinary team to develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
