Job Title: Restaurant Food Service Manager

About Us: Earl's Restaurant (Yorkdale) Ltd is a leading food service establishment in the heart of the urban area. We are seeking an experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team and help us deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality food.

Job Summary: As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, supervising staff, and ensuring that our customers receive excellent service and food quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they work efficiently and effectively to meet our high standards.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet demand.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights into our operations and helping us make informed decisions.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators, ensuring that management has the information needed to make informed decisions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Compensation: The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health care plans and parking availability.
