The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for a 6-month contract role in our EDI Department. The successful candidate will support our vibrant and active EDI program, working closely with the Chief EDI Officer to develop and implement strategies, policies, and practices that advance our EDI goals and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement EDI programs, policies, and practices
  • Organize and execute EDI initiatives and projects
  • Manage Affinity Group and IDC initiatives
  • Liaise with Marketing to communicate EDI events and initiatives
  • Communicate EDI initiatives internally
  • Manage outreach and collaboration with external organizations
  • Administer LAWS collaboration program
  • Oversee client diversity audits and surveys
  • Plan biannual inclusion and diversity survey
  • Collaborate on CLE and training related to EDI
  • Provide thought leadership on EDI initiatives
  • Stay current with social, political, and economic events
  • Celebrate successes and learn from challenges

Requirements:

  • LL.B. or JD preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a legal setting or private practice
  • Experience planning and executing EDI initiatives
  • Connection to community organizations
  • Demonstrated understanding of underrepresented communities
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
