Job Description

The Hearthstone Inn - Port Hawkesbury is seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our bar. This is a permanent position working 30 to 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures for our bar.
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe environment for customers and staff.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of beverages, supplies, and equipment to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies, optimizing costs and quality.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities, building relationships and driving revenue growth.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation, promoting the Hearthstone Inn - Port Hawkesbury and its offerings.
  • Lead and instruct individuals as required, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns promptly, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Manage events, including weddings, parties, and corporate functions, ensuring memorable experiences.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, continually improving processes and efficiency.
