The Millwright / Mechanic is a critical role within Stackpole International, responsible for all preventative maintenance and repairs of plant utilities, machinery, and processes. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and a strong understanding of maintenance management software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, modifications, and rigging as required.
  • Complete Preventative Maintenance work orders as per the PM schedule, providing accurate feedback on completion or additional work and materials required.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly guarded and operating in a safe manner, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to Human Resources, Processes, Products, and Equipment departments.
  • Ensure a smooth hand-off with Technical Team Members on other shifts, promoting effective communication and transition.
  • Participate in department team meetings to review and resolve quality, service, operations, facilities, human resources, and health and safety issues.
  • Operational problem solving and seeking out continuous improvements to the process.
  • Assist in the training and development of new members of the department.
  • Measure success by maximizing equipment uptime, minimizing equipment breakdowns, PM effectiveness, and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma with a valid Certificate of Apprenticeship.
  • Valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) in good standing with the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities.
  • Three to five years of practical experience preferred.
  • Team player with the ability to work with others in a team-based environment.
