Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Compliance Specialist to join our team at Farris LLP.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our Corporate Services team to provide expert corporate legal services to lawyers and their clients. This role involves preparing documents related to company formations, mergers, acquisitions, and dissolutions, as well as conducting searches and reviewing minute books.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare various corporate documents, including name reservations, business registrations, incorporations, name changes, director and officer changes, dividends, redemptions, voluntary dissolutions, and restorations.
  • Conduct comprehensive corporate searches in BC, Canada, USA, and overseas.
  • Review and maintain accurate filings in virtual minute books.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and independently manage files.
  • Attend to various filings and registrations with the B.C. Registry and Corporations Canada.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate records or a comparable field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function well under pressure and handle multiple assignments.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Good knowledge of ALF corporate program is considered an asset.
  • Prior paralegal studies or equivalent experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

This senior role comes with a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $95,000 annually, based on location and job-related factors.
