Insight Recruitment Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Lead Financial Analyst to join their team in Toronto. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in driving financial performance and strategy.

With a strong background in accounting and leadership experience, you will be responsible for managing four direct reports and working closely with the FP&A team members. Your expertise in financial analysis and reporting will enable you to provide actionable insights to senior management, driving informed business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably including experience as a manager or leader. A postgraduate degree or diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or Commerce, along with a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, is also required. Additionally, you should possess excellent technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Excel, particularly in VBA.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day accounting operations, including closing the books for various departments
  • Preparing analysis and commentary for internal financial reporting packages presented to senior management
  • Reviewing and approving journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Assisting with annual audit preparation for consolidated financial statements and League Reporting reports and audits
