Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ambulance Readiness Technician to join our team at PHSA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of our ambulances, as well as performing routine maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sanitize and process critical medical equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and meets safety standards.
  • Restock supplies on vehicles, ensuring that all necessary equipment and materials are available for emergency responses.
  • Perform and document vehicle checks, identifying any issues or concerns that may impact safety or performance.
  • Receive and process incoming inventory, verifying that goods meet specifications and reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Assist with inventory management, including data entry and tracking of stock levels.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including jockeying vehicles and delivering equipment to and from service centers.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 or equivalent education, with related experience or training in a healthcare or maintenance setting.
  • Valid Class 5 vehicle license, with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience working with cleaning equipment, tools, and protocols, including deep cleaning and decontamination.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management, with a strong focus on teamwork and customer service.
  • Physical ability to perform all duties, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment and supplies.
