Job Title: Janitor

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at Hampton Village Child Care Ltd. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our children and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, and debris; empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Facilities Management: Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment; perform safety and security checks; move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Groundskeeping: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens; clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Physical Demands: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).

  • Flexibility: Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Initiative: Proactive approach to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Judgement: Ability to make sound decisions regarding cleaning and maintenance tasks.
