Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Development Scientist to join our team in Toronto, Canada. As a Product Development Scientist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver RDQ activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance, and/or productivity projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements.
  • Develop and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.
  • Write technical reports that require analysis and interpretation of results.
  • Collaborate with senior project leads on specification work and high-level organization.
  • Maintain pilot labs, order consumables, ensure accurate inventories, and equipment calibration.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the food industry.
  • Good technical foundation and technical curiosity.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage complexity.

Additional Information

As a valued member of our team, you will contribute to driving excellence in supporting Project Management and specification work. You will also identify and efficiently utilize necessary resources to achieve timely delivery of project objectives.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
