We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Kitchen Specialist to join our team at B.C. LTD. as an ethnic food cook.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, while ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.
The role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage kitchen operations, including inspecting kitchens and food service areas, ordering supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and cleaning kitchen and work areas.
Culinary ExpertiseThe ideal candidate will have expertise in East Indian and West Indian cuisine, with the ability to prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
A key aspect of this role is the ability to organize buffets and banquets, ensuring seamless execution and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Order supplies and equipment
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Organize buffets and banquets
- Manage kitchen operations
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience
- Equivalent experience
This role is based in a restaurant setting, with occasional remote locations and fast food outlet or concession opportunities.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000, depending on location and experience.

Language and Work TermThis role requires proficiency in English, with a permanent work term.
Hours and Work ScheduleThe standard working hours for this role are 40 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate changing business needs.
