Job Title: Developmental Service Worker

Momentum Developmental Support Corporation is seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic individual to work in a group home setting, providing support and assistance to clients with developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to providing person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement life skills workshops to promote independence and self-advocacy
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including housekeeping, food preparation, and personal hygiene
  • Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution support
  • Supervise activities and provide guidance to clients living in group homes and half-way houses
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
  • Evaluate work environments and programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities an asset
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
