Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Plant Operations Manager to lead our production team at our Leather Factory in Toronto. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the factory, ensuring efficient and timely execution of production plans, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description

The Senior Plant Operations Manager will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the production team, including training and development programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintaining accurate records of production data, including metrics such as labor hours, material usage, and equipment performance.
  • Collaborating with other departments, including quality assurance, customer service, and sales, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to optimize production schedules, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the leather or textiles/apparel industry.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience in analysis tools.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a large team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
