At Fairmont Banff Springs, we're seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Stewarding team member. As a key player in maintaining a clean and safe working environment, you will be responsible for deep cleaning all kitchens, including floors, walls, ceiling tiles, hoods, and cooking surfaces.

This role involves working overnights, with shifts starting at 10:00pm or later. You will be expected to clean and sanitize all surfaces, remove trash, and ensure floors and work areas are clean, dry, clear of hazards and obstructions. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be vital in achieving our goal of providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deep cleaning all kitchens, including floors, walls, ceiling tiles, hoods, and cooking surfaces
  • Polish and buff all stainless steel in the areas
  • Responsible for cleanliness and sanitizing of all surfaces
  • Removal of all trash left in the kitchen at the end of shift
  • Ensuring floors and work areas are clean, dry, clear of hazards and obstructions
  • Adhere to and follow ALLSAFE health and safety protocols
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous experience an asset
  • Ability to operate industrial machinery
  • Constant lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, kneeling, and carrying up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours
  • Exposure to kitchen equipment, sounds, fumes, chemicals, working in hot, humid & cold environments
  • Passionate and organized about maintaining a clean safe working environment
