Job Title: Chief Operating Officer

We are seeking a highly experienced and ambitious Chief Operating Officer to lead our operations team and drive business growth.

About the Role

The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for leading initiatives that drive operational excellence, minimizing costs, and enhancing plant quality. This includes developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring cross-departmental collaboration, and fostering a unified team to enhance customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, operations, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in leading operations teams. They will be able to make strategic decisions, translate them into operational plans, and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead initiatives to drive operational excellence and minimize costs
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to drive operational improvements
  • Ensure cross-departmental collaboration and foster a unified team
  • Manage the cultivation, operations, and maintenance departments
  • Play a leading role in the company's expansion efforts
  • Contribute to team development and participate in shaping the future organization
Requirements
  • BSc/MSc graduation in Horticulture, Agribusiness, Business, or similar
  • At least 5 years of relevant and successful leading operations experience
  • Experience in scaling up companies, preferably within a manufacturing company
  • Knowledge of horticulture and preferably of propagation
  • Ability to make strategic decisions and translate them into operational plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
