About the Role

Baymont Hotel seeks a skilled and ambitious Culinary Visionary - Indigenous-Inspired Cuisine Lead to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to establish a new dining experience that showcases indigenous-inspired cuisine and locally sourced ingredients, creating a sustainable and community-centered culinary destination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Develop, plan, and execute a menu that highlights indigenous-inspired cuisine and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee all kitchen activities, including scheduling, food preparation, and service for lunch and evening meals.
  • Cost Management: Manage costs and budgets, including menu pricing, food costs, and staff wages, to meet financial goals.
  • Sourcing and Partnerships: Build partnerships with local suppliers, regional vineyards, and community organizations to source ingredients and develop complementary offerings.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a kitchen team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Culinary Expertise: Red Seal certification in culinary arts.
  • Leadership Experience: 3 years proven experience in kitchen management, including menu development, budgeting, and staff supervision.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of food safety regulations and experience maintaining compliance with health and licensing standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience mentoring and training kitchen staff.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including housing, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
