Job Title: Addictions Worker

Home Base Yellowknife is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Addictions Worker to join our team. As an Addictions Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with addiction issues in our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide education and support to individuals with addiction issues
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide early intervention programming for at-risk youth
  • Work in a youth drop-in centre and shelter for the homeless, providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals in need
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders to promote the well-being of individuals with addiction issues
Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
