The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a Childcare Consultant Specialist to join their team in the Early Childhood Development and Learning division. This role is responsible for licensing eligible early childhood day care centres and day home programs, promoting quality early childhood programs, and supporting the GNWT's mandate and priorities.

Job Summary

This position requires a diploma in early childhood education and two years of related work experience, including teaching in or supervising a licensed early learning and child care program. The effective delivery of early childhood programs enhances the credibility of the Department and creates a positive image of the GNWT's commitment to early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Licensing eligible early childhood day care centres and day home programs
  • Promoting and supporting the development of quality early childhood programs
  • Supporting the implementation of the GNWT's mandate, goals, and priorities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma in early childhood education
  • Two years of related work experience, including teaching in or supervising a licensed early learning and child care program
Benefits

The Government of Northwest Territories offers a competitive salary range of $44.83 per hour to $53.55 per hour (approximately $87,419 - $104,423), plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
