Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at BWX Technologies, Inc. in Cambridge, Ontario. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in monitoring all financial aspects of contracts, including project setup, budget changes, and revenue recognition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and issue sales invoices to customers and follow up on accounts receivables.
  • Account for foreign exchange forward contracts and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts and financial reports.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate financial data and timely reporting.
  • Communicate with external parties, including customers and auditors, to resolve financial issues and ensure compliance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including ASC 606, and experience with financial software, such as SAP and BPC.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
