Medical Waste Treatment Plant Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plant Operator to join our team at Daniels Health & Sharpsmart. As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of medical waste at our facility in St. Jean sur Richelieu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and processing of various waste streams
- Scanning waste into Route Optics for proper record keeping purposes
- Maintaining boiler and autoclave functions to ensure maximum operating efficiency
- Ensuring all waste is properly processed and stored in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ensuring an adequate supply of clean reusable bins and totes are readily available for logistics purposes
- Performing additional duties and assisting in other areas of the plant operation as directed by Operations Manager
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment
