Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

Michaels is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring a positive customer experience, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the store team to achieve sales and profit goals, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement effective inventory management processes to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize shrinkage.
  • Oversee visual merchandising standards, including feature space and seasonal layouts, to create an engaging and attractive store environment.
  • Collaborate with the store manager to plan and execute store workload, including scheduling, staffing, and inventory management.
  • Lead and manage freight flow processes to ensure efficient and accurate receipt of merchandise.
  • Develop and implement shrink and safety programs to minimize losses and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Strong inventory management and visual merchandising skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
