Job Summary

The Patient Care Manager is a key member of the management team at Mackenzie Health, responsible for coordinating and directing the unit, as well as overseeing human and fiscal resources. This role requires collaboration with the Program Director, Medical Director, Educator, and other allied health members to ensure high-quality, effective, and efficient services and care are provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and integrate plans that align with the Medicine Program and the organization's vision and strategic directions.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director, Medical Director, Educator, and other allied health members to ensure high-quality services and care.
  • Oversee human and fiscal resources, ensuring effective use of resources to achieve unit goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and research to inform decision-making and improve services.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or other regulated health professional field.
  • Nurse Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario or another regulated Health Professional College.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years clinical frontline leadership experience, preferably in mental health.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in clinical practice, interpersonal, communication, coaching, mentoring, and team building skills.
  • Ability to analyze research and implement evidence-based practice into policy and procedure development and clinical practice.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven attendance record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialty certification an asset.
