About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Correct Property Services. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a high-quality appearance.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet precise specifications.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure stability.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry before proceeding with further installations.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound for a seamless finish.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management or engineering.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in drywall installation and finishing, preferably in a commercial setting.
  • Ability to work at heights, handle heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
