Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Vision Engineer to join our team at the University of Waterloo. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research projects focused on developing and applying computer vision technologies for infrastructure development.

About the Position

This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer vision, machine learning, and software development, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and develop new algorithms for computer vision applications in infrastructure development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and optimize 2D and 3D processing solutions for extracting meaningful insights from visual data.
  • Develop and implement machine learning models for image recognition and object detection.
  • Work with large and varied datasets, including images, videos, depth maps, and point clouds.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB.
  • Experience with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV and TensorFlow.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
