Residential Support Worker

The Residential Support Worker will provide care and support to families in their homes. This role involves performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and household linens, and assisting with child supervision and housekeeping duties. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home and keeping records of daily activities and health information regarding children. Prior experience in childcare and a valid certification in first aid and CPR are required.

Work Setting
The Residential Support Worker will work in the employer's home, with the opportunity to travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties. The successful candidate will be required to live in the employer's home on a live-in basis, with optional accommodation available at no charge.

Requirements
The successful candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate, a valid certification in first aid and CPR, and prior experience in childcare. They will also be required to have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is essential for this role.

Security and Safety
The Residential Support Worker will be required to undergo a criminal record check and a drug test. They will also be required to have a valid first aid and CPR certification.

Transportation
The successful candidate will be required to have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license. Public transportation is not available.
