The Opportunity

We are looking for a strategic recruitment expert to manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a diverse portfolio of open roles across North America. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in recruitment, with comprehensive knowledge of screening and interviewing candidates, sourcing techniques and strategies, and business partnering and advising.

Key Objectives

  • Manage the recruitment process for a substantial and diverse portfolio of open roles across North America and achieve hiring goals and recruitment metrics
  • Partner with hiring managers across the business to gain a thorough understanding of hiring needs and advise on recruitment best practices
  • Develop and manage relationships with candidates to ensure an outstanding candidate experience

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Developing relationships with hiring managers and conducting recruitment intake meetings
  • Acting as a recruitment subject matter expert and trusted advisor to the business
  • Leveraging multiple recruiting channels to uncover, attract, and engage qualified candidates
  • Actively sourcing candidates to fill open positions, continuously refining messaging and sourcing strategies as needed
  • Effectively screening resumes, conducting phone interviews, and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Managing candidate relationships throughout the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, providing updates, and presenting and closing offers
  • Drafting written documentation using established templates, including job postings and employment agreements
  • Following internal recruitment processes and procedures while also demonstrating authenticity in your approach and the use of innovative strategies to achieve recruitment goals
  • Maintaining accurate documentation across internal recruiting tools and systems
  • Providing additional support to the Talent Acquisition and Human Resources team as needed, fostering a positive and supportive team dynamic
  • Participating in the execution of varied Talent Acquisition projects, programs, and initiatives as needed
  • Acting as an ambassador for Leavitt Machinery and successfully propelling our employer brand
  • Continuously learning, refining skills, and developing your understanding of recruiting best practices, techniques, and strategies

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • At least three to four years of proven full-cycle recruitment experience is required
  • Post-secondary education in a related field strongly preferred, such as Business, Psychology, Human Resources, or equivalent
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced, and dynamic work environment is required
  • Demonstrated achievement in managing candidate pipelines and recruiting for a range of niche and hard-to-fill roles, including but not limited to: sales, technology/IT, finance, administration, customer support, technicians/mechanics, and/or management positions
  • Established sourcing skills, including a high degree of proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Prior experience using Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn, Indeed, and other recruitment systems and platforms
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated competency in planning and setting priorities, effectively managing time and competing tasks accordingly
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with candidates, stakeholders, and managers in a proactive, confident, and professional manner
  • Established relationship-building skills and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen, information seeking skills, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Highly adaptable, resourceful, and motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively independently, and as a member of a collaborative team
  • A genuine interest and passion for Talent Acquisition and continuous improvement

The annual base salary range for this role is: $70,000 to $90,000 depending on experience, plus bonuses.
