Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Steel Boots Trucking Inc. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a semi-trailer truck to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate a semi-trailer truck to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Logistics: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Safety: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks) and experience as a Truck Driver is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods, attention to detail, and repetitive tasks.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
