Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Registered Practical Nurse to join our team as a Senior Care Professional - Long Term Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide nursing and personal care to our residents, working under the direction of the Registered Nurse and reporting to the Director of Care.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily routines and functions for residents, including bathing, dressing, undressing, and meal services.
- Review 24-72 hour reports at the beginning of each shift to ensure continuity of care.
- Administer medications and treatments within the limitations set by the College of Nurses.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care, including documentation in compliance with established standards and legislative requirements.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Current Medication Administration Certificate or equivalent.
- Current certificate of competency from the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing.
- Experience in long-term care, gerontology, rehabilitation, community, complex, or long-term care is considered an asset.
- Strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management, and customer focus skills.
- An estimated salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and location.
