Job Title: Co-op Analog Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Analog Design Engineer to join our team at Renesas Electronics Corporation. As a Co-op Analog Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of our flagship Optical Interconnects products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and characterization of broadband linear Drivers and TIAs
  • Utilize Cadence design and optimization tools
  • Conduct extensive lab work and Python scripting/automation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Working towards a M.A.Sc. / PhD student in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with BiCMOS and CMOS technology
  • Proficiency in Cadence/ADS and related EDA tools
  • Experience with EM modeling
  • Coursework in circuit analysis and Optical/RF communications theory
  • Good understanding of frequency domain signals analysis, including BODE plots, FFTs, spectrum analysis
  • Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and function generators
  • Familiarity with Python
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
