Job Summary

Okanagan Good Food Inc. is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to lead our kitchen team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food and service standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring timely and efficient service
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring accurate ordering and minimizing waste
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control
  • Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and minimize overtime
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a fast-paced food service environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and management
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require attention to detail
