Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Safeway Canada. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the accuracy of prescription preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, process, and compound prescriptions under the indirect supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from practitioners, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies, maintaining accurate records.
  • Perform final checks on prepared prescriptions and ensure accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records.
Requirements
  • Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Above average oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Sobeys National Pharmacy Group Computer systems preferred.
  • Relevant post-secondary education preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
