Electrical Technician Opportunity

MATRIX Camps and Logistics is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team in a remote Canadian project location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and troubleshooting of electrical components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Test circuits and connections using electrical test equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, adhering to timelines and budget restrictions.
  • Source and procure electrical parts as needed.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment, including rubbish removal.
  • Comply with building code regulations and industry standards for electrical work.
  • Document all work completed, adhering to company protocols and procedures.
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship consistent with industry expectations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to inform electrical work.
  • Participate in daily toolbox meetings and support monthly work-site inspections.
  • Adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Report incidents and accidents promptly.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrician in a camp environment.
  • Certified Journeyman Electrician (Red Seal) required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work a rotation schedule.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods and perform physical labor.
