Job Summary

Canada Inc is seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our construction team. As a Steel Stud Framer, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials for building frames. This is a permanent position with a 40-44 hour workweek, requiring a strong work ethic and ability to work at heights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in steel stud framing
  • Working at heights training
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
