Concurrent Disorder Counsellor, Maximum and Multi-Level Security Units, Rehabilitation Specialist

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Concurrent Disorder Counsellor to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). As a key member of our Forensic Psychiatric Services team, you will provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments and treatment services to adults experiencing severe psychiatric and behavioural difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop treatment plans
- Provide individual, group, and family therapies to address concurrent disorders and promote recovery
- Collaborate with treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Develop and implement community substance abuse treatment plans for patients upon release
- Provide consultation and training to staff on concurrent disorders and treatment approaches
Requirements
- Master's degree in an Allied Health Discipline from a recognized program
- Three (3) years recent related experience in an addictions and mental health setting
- Valid BC Drivers License
