Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at ALM. This is a permanent full-time position offering 32 to 35 hours of work per week.

About the Job

This role requires strong knowledge and experience in electrical mechanics, including testing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, as well as completing repairs and installations as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular inspections and tests on electrical systems and equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, using tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical motors, generators, transformers, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts, as required.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide training on electrical maintenance procedures.
  • Conduct on-site servicing and repair, as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in electrical maintenance or a related field.
  • Language: English (written and verbal).
  • Work setting: Physically demanding, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between $65,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
