Job Summary

Aurivia Stone Design Inc. is seeking an experienced Master Stone Cutter to join our team as a Fine Stonework Specialist. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week.

Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (based on experience and location)

Job Description

As a Master Stone Cutter, you will be responsible for operating machinery to cut, grind, and polish stone blocks, slabs, and other products to precise dimensions and specifications. Your tasks will include:

  • Operating blade or wire saws to cut stone to specified dimensions
  • Checking products for quality control
  • Grinding and polishing surfaces of stone blocks, slabs, or other stone products to specific shape or design
  • Performing ongoing machine adjustments
  • Reading blueprints, schemas, and drawings
  • Drilling holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications
  • Repairing cracks and holes
  • Using computer numerical control (CNC) machines

You will work independently with minimal supervision and be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards in your work.

Experience

1-6 months of experience in a similar role is required. You must be legally able to work in Canada and have excellent communication skills.
