Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at SRR Transport. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Logistics: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, using GPS and other navigation equipment to optimize routes and delivery times.
Requirements:
  • Licenses and Certifications: Hold a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and a valid driver's licence.
  • Experience: Possess experience in long-haul truck driving, with a strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and sitting for extended periods.
