Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Foreman/Foreperson to join our team at Foxridge Homes Metro Vancouver. As the ideal candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring all site work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to quality standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Site Superintendent with supervising site employees, maintaining compliance with quality standards, policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Conducting thorough inspections of framing deficiencies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Liaising with municipal inspectors and structural engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Interpreting project drawings and specifications to prepare schedules and reports.
  • Performing repair work as necessary, including installing fire stopping and back framing.
  • Maintaining and operating a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Ensuring adherence to Qualico's Safety Program.

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to effectively coach and guide others. You should also be a creative problem solver who thinks outside the box.

Essential Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of construction experience.
  • Prior experience as a foreman is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic construction duties.
  • Familiarity with building codes and various construction techniques.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Satisfactory verification of a criminal record check.

Preferred Requirements

  • A Red Seal in Carpentry is a plus.
  • Supervisory experience as a team lead is an asset.
