Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager to join our team at Petrela, Winter And Associates in Sudbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-quality construction insurance business and providing exceptional client service.

Petrela, Winter & Associates is a Navacord Broker Partner and a boutique specialty commercial brokerage recognized leader in construction risk in Canada. We pride ourselves on serving many Sudbury and Northern Ontario leading contractors since our inception over 40 years ago.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of commercial insurance experience in an Account Manager role, with a preference for those with construction insurance experience. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a renewal book of construction insurance business, including day-to-day client service, marketing, renewals, and project-specific and specialty coverages.
  • Ensuring responsive and timely service and renewals provided in accordance with PWA best practices and procedures.
  • Managing account documentation, reviewing client coverage and exposures, loss experience, and analyzing risk to determine product/service requirements.
  • Coodinating administrative client support with PWA's support team.
  • Developing and maintaining productive relationships with underwriters.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring up-to-date accounts in EPIC.
  • Participating in training and professional development courses to enhance skills and industry knowledge.
  • Maintaining positive working relationships with clients, markets, and PWA colleagues.
  • Ocassionally representing PWA at industry associations and networking events.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A R.I.B.O. license.
  • Solid understanding of policy wordings/coverages and proven negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to be a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite, with a preference for candidates with EPIC experience.
