Business Development Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team at ABGi Canada. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate leads through market research and networking
- Maintain close contact with consultants, professionals, and associations to identify and develop business leads
- Proactively manage territory through new business prospecting and management of existing accounts
- Actively research and outreach to target decision makers while selling and creating meetings
- Diagnose prospects' business climate challenges, strategic needs, and pain points and develop a real value proposition
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop go-to-market strategies and deliverables
- Partner with internal consulting team to determine best-in-class value positioning and service to assist with current and future customers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree or above preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of sales or business development experience in the consulting or professional services industry
- Ability to speak both French and English fluently in a business setting
- Proven experience using a sales methodology to generate sales leads, open doors, and manage the sales cycle to contract signing
- Consultative sales experience at the executive level (C-level)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) combined with strong listening skills
- Previous experience working with a large consulting firm is a plus
- Previous experience selling or experience with SR&ED is a plus
- Knowledge selling or working in the financial services industry is a plus
